Refrigerated Logistics Professional

We are currently accepting applicants for a Refrigerated Logistics Professional. This role is one of the single most important positions within our company.

The Refrigerated Logistics Professional will be responsible for prospecting and completing sales as well as providing support service to our truck teams. We pride ourselves on market-leading expertise in logistics. The Refrigerated Logistics Professional will help represent the best of Argosy Transport’s top drivers.

Responsibilities include:

• Prospecting and negotiating with customers on the spot-freight market
• Scheduling and building loads with an emphasis on maximizing productivity, profitability, and performance
• Acting as the primary point of contact for assigned drivers and customers
• Supporting drivers and customers by managing in-the-moment challenges and requests
• Understanding customer accounts, rate swings and lanes and reporting said information to management
• Attending daily sales sessions/updates
• Working closely with mechanics, shippers and receivers to ensure successful load pick up and delivery
• Negotiating timelines with drivers and customers in addition to managing load changes and enhancements

Successful candidates will possess the following skills:

• Interest in and knowledge of truck-load markets
• Experience in sales
• Exceptional organizational and time management
• Ability to multi-task and problem solve
• Desire to work in a face-paced, dynamic atmosphere
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Suite
• Excellent communications skills
